I had a problem with my original remote and downloaded it to try to use as replacement. The connection is slowly and not always working at all. Too expensive for this kind of a trial...

This is a decent app, but needs to give thumbs up/down feedback control for Pandora. The only reason I bought this app is because the Denon app mysteriously stopped working. If I can get Denon app to function again, I will use it instead of this app.

Easy set up. Found my 3808ci on my network and auto configured it. Flawless setup!

Not worth $5. The developer isnt a great designer, and the visual appearance and navigation are both ugly and confusing. It works, though.

Im not a big fan of using an app to replace a remote control especially if theres already one from the manufacturer. The idea of praying for it is even less appealing. But after reading reviews & taking a break from the Demon app, this proved to be worth purchasing indeed. The Demon app has a lot of the dame features but is much more responsive and allows me to make more adjustments as needed. It was mentioned previously that one would think Denon would have acquired this app and retired their current offering. While Denons organic is not horrible, I dont understand why they havent made their app as robust, quick, and simple as this one. Hats off to the developer and I look forward to your future improvements and updates. Thanks for the intuitive customization and efforts in making this app easy and enjoyable to use! Equipment: Im using the iPhone 6s Plus w/current iOS to control AVR-X3100W. Not sure which version others may be using but as of the time of this review, Ive had no issues with the on/off button which is on the main screen. Not buggy at all for this device. I was using a Logitech remote but was unable to perform through the cover of a curtain. And I was not going to upgrade my Harmony One to a newer version that includes a module which allows control thru walls, etc. Until Logitech has an app that controls all of my devices this way without buying another product, Ill stick with this! Yes, use this app instead of the Denon app. Youll understand.

Yeah, I know the Denon App is free, but do yourself a favor and pay the couple of dollars for this app. This app can actually replace the handheld remote and put the control into your Smartphone. The Denon App just simply cannot do this.

It gives you access to all of the normal features you want plus the detailed settings. I havent used the remote or denon app since I bought this app.

Efficient and reliable. Have tried all, including a paid app, and this is the best yet. Get it.

Great app. Better than the official denon app. Both iphone and ipad versions are great. Easy to use, great features.

I tried to use and tried to like the app that is from Denon to control my X3000 but I kept having issues with it and after deleting it and reinstalling it with still no luck on the quirks I downloaded this app and its much better. A few quirks here and there but very very few.

I never write reviews, but this app is great. I have an AVR-3310CI that the Denon OEM app does NOT support. I emailed Fran to question whether this app supported my 3310 and received a response back real quick. To my surprise, it is supported. The app makes the user interface to the Denon so much easier than the remote. The GUI is well thought out and intuitive. Well worth the money. I cant see how anyone can give this app a bad review (must be user error). I highly recommend!

The app allows you to start internet radio, but gives you no control over the source. You can not even change stations or skip tracks in Pandora. Do not waste your time or money.

I find the remote virtually useless, better to do everything thru app. Unit does not retain settings, have to reset everything when you turn it on, shuts itself off when room is too hot.

The free marantz app is nice for getting through most of the basic settings ie: volume, zone 2 source select, surround sound, radio, Sirius sat ect... This app can do just about everything that you do with the remote and going online to the IP address of the radio... I love it and use it over the original... It may not be as simple as the original because it has more functions on it.. This is a great purchase to compliment the marantz... Im using the marantz 6008.

… Turned on my Marantz NR1603. The app found the receiver and I was in business. This is a wonderful piece of design and programing! Easy to control the receiver — much more intuitive and powerful than the Marantz remote control (which was giving me fits trying to get Internet radio in my Zone 2). I am *so happy* I found this app! Easily worth the purchase price. :-)

Bought this app because the denon app takes 20 seconds to connect after opening. This one is instant. Please update the horrible looking icon though.

Will control volume and source select but no control for pandora stations etc.

Great app, absolutely essential to get the most out of the second zone in my denon receiver. I can access so many features that would be impossible by the denon app or the front of the unit. Just the ability to turn on the sleep feature for my receiver in another room is worth the low price. Most importantly, they continue to support older iPads and iOS.

Like another review mentions, this app is critical for getting the most out of your Denon. Whether its easy access to the media menu, fiddling with Audessy, or turning the thing down or off from bed, this app makes all the power of the Denon accessible. Though not without some minor quirks, this app is amazing.

Speaker levels on the app have to be turned way up and they still dont achieve what my denon Avr-s900w does by itself. All in all my sound quality suffered regardless of tuning. Turn the app off and hit the remote and the whole system wakes up.
